Dear friends,
I’m so happy to finally share my new single Bittersweet with you. ☁️
I poured my heart—and many tears—into this one.
It’s been my therapy, my safe space, my song to come back home to myself.
It’s one of the most important songs I have ever written, as it talks about a theme that is very close to my heart—acknowledging endings as part of life.
The main melody of the verse felt like it had been waiting inside me for years, just ready to be sung.
It took me three or four different arrangement attempts before I landed on the version that felt true. From the beginning, I envisioned a blend of real instruments and organic textures, woven together with lush harmonies and an electronic touch. I wanted a nostalgic violin that merges with dreamy backing vocals and texture.
Collaboration is an essential part of my creative process—it’s what helps me grow as an artist.
I want to thank a few wonderful people who were part of this journey, without whom the song wouldn’t be possible in this form:
Annie Rew Shaw for her friendship, stunning mix, additional production and engineering magic (live strings and drums) —and for intuitively connecting me with brilliant musicians like Kit Denison (violin) and Kai Dudley (drums), who brought their talent and ideas to the track and lastly Matt Howe for our beautiful collaboration and his mastering services it.
Olly Shelton, for the early work we did together in Berlin—even though our paths took a different direction at a certain point, our work together was a meaningful part of my journey to arrive at the version I’m sharing with you today.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did in writing it and arranging it.
Inspired by the poem "Peace, My Heart, Bittersweet," this collection explores the emotional landscape of endings—death, grief, letting go, and change. It’s a song that captures both the struggle and the beauty of accepting what must pass. While born from personal experience, the song is open to many interpretations, inviting listeners to reflect on their moments of transition.
I used to resist endings. They made me feel fragile. But through songwriting and inner work, I began to meet them with more softness and even reverence.
Drawing from reflections influenced by Eastern philosophies, Bittersweet suggests that endings are not mistakes, but rather a natural part of life’s rhythm.
From the ache of saying goodbye to the inevitability of change, Bittersweet offers a spacious, poetic space to meet life as it is, with tenderness.
I hope you love it as much as I did writing it.
Love, Leti 💜

Lyrics
Verse 1
How can I feel complete?
When everything is ending
This life is bittersweet
Will the unknown lead to something?
I have lived to the full
Felt rainbows of emotion
Memories hug like wool
What is left is my devotion
Chorus
Companion of a lifetime
I bow to you
In your moments of downtime
I’ll be in the silence, in all you do
Verse 2
At the end of the road
Don’t let me hold me back
Years trying to lighten my load
For this moment to be the best
Companion of a lifetime
I bow to you
In your moments of downtime
I’ll be in the silence, in all you do
Bridge
It’s bittersweet
I say farewel,l your silhouette fades
Now there’s nothing I haven’t seen
Peace is bigger than all my fears
Chorus
Companion of a lifetime
I bow to you
In your moments of downtime
I’ll be in the silence, in all you do
