Things I learn from Mother Nature 🌳
I love writing lists.
Lists calm my anxiety when my brain feels overwhelmed by things to do.
They act like a parking lot for the thousands of ideas I have daily in my head.
They are part of my creative splurge when writing a song.
They are also a way to capture reflections and insights.
So today, I am sharing a list of reflections I wrote after spending quality time in nature.
I hope they resonate with you 🌺
If you feel uninspired, look at nature. Something is always happening.
Creativity is within us; it is us. So whether you are a writer, a musician, a painter, a teacher, an accountant, or a lawyer, it doesn’t matter! Everyone is creating something new every day. Through our way of being and our actions! So if you feel like you’re stalling, spend time in nature!
Acknowledging and welcoming both beginnings, endings makes a huge difference! We end up loving the ‘in-between’ even more. Nature is very good at reminding us that, birth and death happen every day; what happens in between is the dance between stillness and energy.
Awareness of endings creates urgency and empowers us to live a fulfilling life.
If we are present to what happens in every moment, life can indeed be simple.
We are one with nature, never separate!
When our mind is busy, and everything feels stuck, getting into our body is the key to feeling like we are moving again. Energy never stops moving anyway, but our mind can get stuck and with that, the perception of who we are and our life!
Joy is already within us! Let’s stop thinking that we need more to be who we already are.
Sunset and dawns are good reminders that life is now. That there is a rhythm in nature and life.
Circumstances can be challenging, restrictive, and painful. Though nature moves and exists no matter what. Who we are in the face of pain is the source of our suffering!
Whether we like it or not, tomorrow is another day, and today will come to an end.
Nature has the power to quieten even the most disempowered and oppressive mind. From a calmer mind, more creativity is possible!
Many people don’t have the privilege to spend time in nature. So if you do, immerse yourself, recharge your batteries and fill your cup with renewed creativity.
This is me in nature, specifically in West Sussex, where I spent a week with two beautiful dogs and three cats. 🌷
